Our Mission

QUMSA stands for the Queen’s University Muslim Students’ Association!

QUMSA is a focal point for Muslim students to meet other Muslim students on campus and create a sense of community at Queen’s University. Not only do we provide students the opportunity to engage in spiritual activities — but we also interact with other clubs on campus and the general Kingston community. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming platform for all students.

We conduct several social and educational events throughout the year! For instance, we lead congregational Jummah prayers, hold weekly halaqas, provide Ramadan services such as iftars at the QUIC, host Islam Awareness Week, and as an organization, we sponsor an orphan as well. But, some of the more social events consist of various brothers’ and sisters’ socials, varying from game nights, and paint nights, to basketball tournaments!

We, the QUMSA executive team, invite you to come out and explore our community!

For more information about the events we hold during the school year, you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram @QUMSA! If you have any other inquiries, please do not hesitate to send us a quick message on our social media platforms or contact us at qumsachair@gmail.com!
