Details about the positions we are looking to fill can be found below:
Responsibilities of Junior Executive Positions
Shall prepare a budget for the year, including each event and club operation.
Shall ensure that no QUMSA transaction is usurious.
Shall keep an ongoing, updated statement of account and act as signing authority of the QUMSA account in conjunction with the Chair.
Shall write grants for club funding in conjunction with the Chair and Vice Chair.
Shall be responsible of keeping all QUMSA's money in the bank within 72 hours of receipt.
Shall collect donations after Juma’a and in MusAllah
Director of Operations and Logistics
Shall book rooms for Juma’a prayers and coordinate the setup.
Shall coordinate and take responsibility for the execution of special events including, but not limited to: venue-booking; ordering, arranging, and overseeing the service of food; confirming speakers; booking transportation; venue decoration; and furniture setup.
Shall be responsible for setup of projectors/microphones/media and other
technology (including that of religious services such as Friday Prayer and
Shall coordinate maintenance of Musallah and office space.
Shall recruit and lead a subcommittee to take on the aforementioned tasks
Director of Dawah and Education
Responsible for suggesting content/topics of QUMSA events and activities that have an educational component.
Shall take care of and constantly improve the QUMSA library.
Shall be responsible for suggesting and arranging speakers for events.
Shall conduct research on pertinent Islamic issues as necessary and bring this to the Executive Council.
Shall arrange regular religious education activities such as Halaqas, screenings, and
Shall coordinate Khutba training, selecting and scheduling Khatibs in conjunction with the Chair and the Vice Chair.
Shall represent the views, opinions, and needs of all Muslim brothers or sisters respectively on campus including undergraduate, graduate, faculty and staff
Shall organize regular social events that are accessible, relevant, and engaging for these groups (with particular emphasis on the student population).
Shall work with the executives to ensure that the needs of Muslims on campus are met.
Shall identify student needs and concerns and bring these to the Executive Council.
Shall address inquiries regarding housing and other personal concerns.
Shall forward concerns and comments from students to QUMSA’s executive
